We did mix it up throughout the night. Bromley came at us in spells. They would sit for a while and we would play from the back, then they would press us and we went long.

I think our throw ins in our own half with Bromley pressing so tight were a real weakness. I know we have obviously been working on some fancy free kick routines but throw ins should be bread and butter stuff. Not sure if we have right people taking then or no movement from others for them.
How was that not a penalty for us in the first half when Cameron was brought down?
My takeaway from last night was that Bromley provided stiff opposition but we still could easily have won with a bit more luck and slightly thinner woodwork. All teams will drop some points and although we didn't win, at least we didn't lose, which previous Notts teams might have contrived to do.
For me, there's a very straight-forward equation emerging over the past few games. The more we involve Sam Slocombe in the general play, the less fluent and effective our football becomes. He did his real job and made some good saves, but we're asking far too much of him with the ball at his feet.
Still, we move on, still top of the table. A statement win at Southend would be wonderful, but we'll have to play very well to get it.
