Obviously he was not in the squad again and I doubt if he was even in Kent for the game. The guy went from Hillsbrough Hero to absolute Zero.

What was this man thinking about? A chance to continue being a part of something special and he turns his back on it and his work mates. Having asked for a transfer in the most bizarre way it looks like the management team stood by him and kept giving him game time. They dropped him because of form and to be fair any other manager would have done the same. From dropping to the bench he dropped out of the squad at the very time we needed a striker to take some weight off the injured Smith.

Now his value is much lower but is he totaly damaged goods? I don't think that he'll be out of a job but his transfer value will have been effected! The £400k + add ons will be difficult to recoup but will we get another club to take him on loan? If we extended his contract then he'll be stuck with us for another year but with what's gone on would it be worth it? What value is he now?

Do we let him go for nothing and give him what he wants or work with him and try and get the best out of him for the club. Do we send him out on loan or sell him cheap?

Unbeleivable situation!
