    Premier League Rogues

    Premier League ripping off fans,
The interim measure was confirmed on Friday after a clubs meeting, and means the non-televised games will be available via the BT Sport Box Office or Sky Sports Box Office platforms, for a reported price of £14.95 a game.
    Absolute disgrace

    Quite understandable.

A chance to watch all your teams live if you wish.

If you don’t want to pay nobody can force you so why whinge about it?

Watch the highlights for nothing later as has always been the case.

Nothing to see here other than a gain for those masochists who want to inflict each performance on themselves.

I expect that there will be people who will pay but I really hope the scheme is a flop. The Premier League is a nasty, greedy organisation and I would love to see it fail, although I don’t expect it to do so. The best thing that could happen is for the so-called big six clubs to f**k off to a European League and everyone else back into the EFL. When football opens up again, assuming that it ever does, I think that I will be watching non league Kettering Town.

This will surely encourage meetings of people indoors so that they share the expense?

I agree with you it is going to promote mixed households meeting up and braking the law, The issue i have with it is if it's the games on Sky/BT main channel you don't have to pay so all the fans of the big clubs that are on most weeks will have to pay for very few games but we will probably get 4 or 5 more games meaning if we don't get back into watch the games we will have to pay quite a lot of money to watch the remaining games, all games in the prem are beamed all over the world if you are abroad you can watch any game even us in a bar so i din't see why they are charging £15 when it isn't going to cost them anymore to put the games on.

Could these exorbitant charges over and above TV subscriptions (which if you're an Everton or City fan in October has your games on Sky included) be because of falling revenues? No fans = no tickets, food & drink sales, possibly less merchandise if you can't attend games and wear your colours, less appealing to sponsors, no executive box or hospitality revenue.

At a time when so many have lost their jobs & businesses it's a right kick in the nuts!

If you don’t want to pay the money then don’t watch it. Some will pay whatever the asking price is but I’m guessing many more won’t.

I remember when Channel 5 was showing The Ashes and the uptake in local cricket went through the roof but when it went back to Sky that uptake at all levels declined. Truth is people find other things to do with their time and the sports themselves miss out on the next generation.

With the vast incomes from Sky the supporters and what they contribute is getting marginalised year on year so this pricing plan should not surprise anyone. The supporters don’t really matter anymore apart from serving as window dressing for live games beamed globally.

I find a lot more connection with why I started watching football in going to see Kiddy Harriers these days so I haven’t got Sky or BT sport in any case so this won’t affect me either way
