I thought about the year long subscription to NowTV for this season for all of a nanosecond before deciding against it. PPV confirms that I made the right choice. The radio's free (for now) and so are the highlights (again, for now). Although I love the Albion, other than the atmosphere and the wider view offered by live attendance, the biggest thing I miss about going to the football is the social aspect.

If I bought a TV subscription then under current guidelines I couldn't even invite my mates around to watch it so we could talk b@ll@cks and have a laugh before and after the game. Football's been eating itself for years, it's the public's choice as to whether they swallow the chewings. I'm out. It's strictly the radio and highlights for me now. And if they start charging for those then I'm gone.

Rather stick to my dodgy box - £100 a year to see any live football match in the world - live per view of anything and watch any film you can think of. That’s good value!
