Unbelievable that we release AJ and extend Bartley’s contract !
Hopefully the new manager will quickly assess Bartley and relegate him to the bench.
PS Mickd assured me last night that it is Ryan Mason.
The 31-year-old Nigerian international took to Instagram to express his heartfelt gratitude to everyone connected with the Baggies.
"Thank you to everyone connected with WBA for an incredible six years. To the staff, my teammates, and the fans, thank you for accepting me and embracing me in a way that truly made me feel at home," Ajayi posted.
Reflecting on his journey, Ajayi shared special moments that have defined his time at The Hawthorns.
"Ill never forget the special bonds and memories weve built since I joined the club. From the incredible promotion season in my first year, to the unforgettable scenes at Peterborough away in front of our amazing fans and, of course, scoring in that Black Country derby win!
Ajayi emphasized the emotional connection he holds with the club, saying, "West Bromwich Albion will always hold a special place in my heart, and the memories weve shared will stay with me for a lifetime. I sincerely wish everyone connected to the club all the very best for the future. Until we meet again."

I would have retained Ajayi but what do I know…..
Unfortunately, on the pitch he is very much a passenger boingy buddy and rarely steps up. Constantly stopping progressive play preferring the 3 yard pass backwards or sideways. Often putting colleagues under unnecessary pressure.
I’m not a match statistician analyst boingy buddy, but therefore accept your knowledge in this area. If it’s the number of passes that contribute
then I’m not surprised !
In sincerity, his constant apportioning of blame must have a demotivating impact on the team. I’m certain that is why (apart from WBA) he has spent the majority of his career on loan.
