    Serious question

Are fans just an inconvenience to nelms or do you think he hates the support?

I used to think he just held ordinary punters in utter contempt.....I honestly think he now hates the fans of the football club and would swap us with practically any other support if he cud.or if he cud replace the season ticket money with anything else he wud.

I think he can do nothing right for some people who criticise his actions. I don't disagree with some of the criticism but as we see what happens on this Forum, and others, criticism can become personal and it looks, sometimes, as though banter and just plain rudeness is the end result.
If you are in a hole, stop digging, seems to me to describe his attitude. I know that is not anywhere near your perception of his behaviour, but it's my thoughts about his communication and fan engagement.

    What communication and fan engagement?

Sending out a message that he'll hunt down and ban any Dundee fan responsible for throwing a paper cup at Scott Bain whilst saying zip about hundreds of balls being lobbed onto the park by Celtic fans or enough pyros being set of by fans of The The Rangers to nearly get a game abandoned isn't good communication and fan engagement. In my opinion it's finger pointing and a clear demonstration of disdain for his customer base.

In reply to the OP by RRoS - I think he hates that most fans have sussed him and are no longer buying his bullsh1t.

I was at Falkirk on Saturday, but didn't see the incident, having left after their second goal. Anyone throwing a bottle should be banned without question. Bain's antics after they score , actually rolling about on the ground as if having some kind of spasmodic attack was pathetic. He is foolish to behave in such a way and Falkirk want to be having a word with him.

The criticism heaped on John Nelms, not the personal stuff, but the rest is very well justified though. His performance in running our football club, as evidenced by the disastrous close season, coupled with the 'development' nonsense after the uproar following Pressley's appointment, the decimation of last season's squad and manager because we 'didn't do well enough', yet here we are, worse than ever, perhaps justifying the fans uproar. Then there was the shocking maintenance of our pitch, email-gate, selling our best player on two occasions to Celtic and by timing, denying our manager time to replace them adequately from the transfer manager. Downright incompetence, wasting what has been very decent investment by the Keyes family. Our crowds are dropping. Our ticket prices are stupidly high. The man should be sacked. He has ruined our (what was) status within Scottish football. I suspect that he would be quite happy in the championship. Lower wage bill. More wins.

Met him down Morecambe after a friendly must have been over 10 years ago, seemed a guid lad, engaged with fans and had a beer.Seems a very different man these days though, doesnt seem to want any dialogue with fans groups and quick to punish our clubs fans while watching the weegies recreate the centre court and guy fawkes night with little or no comment.

I'm well past the stage of banter with that shyster b cram.

He personally has driven hundreds if not thousands of fans away ( myself included ) and he is running DFC abysmally.

And he will continue to run the club abysmally as he's never held to account by any fans group.

I wonder if the perpetrators of the heinous crimes on Saturday belonged to his favourite DSA organisation?.....more than likely given ticket allocation.

I'm sick of him, sick of those sycophants he employs and sick of him getting away with it.
