Tbf it’s quite untypical of me to have a go at people over their ‘social deficiencies’/appearance and I wouldn’t in normal circumstances.
However we’re not talking about you...or kids I’ve taught...we’re talking about our supposed leader and the Prime Minister.
For him every day is an interview day and you and I both know how important first impressions are on such occasions.
Having a leader who constantly looks as if he needs ‘Nanny’ to dress him certainly doesn’t help, but my main point was about the way in which he appeared isolated amongst the other NATO leaders which is just downright bad, and embarrassing, for our country.
I don’t recall such generosity of spirit from the Tory ranks when Michael Foot attended the cenotaph all those years ago, and he at least was a decent and honest man who never actually progressed beyond leader of the opposition.
