I hated the taking the knee but when teams came here and did it I just sat quietly until it was over. I've stood at away games in silence for a minute and not always known why when the tannoy hasn't been clear but it's just a social convention you do.
What you did was a personal thing to you and disrupted no one, many other people wanted show their support by a minute's silence - many others didn't. No one was forced to stay at home because someone else said you can't enjoy your Saturday afternoon as you saw fit. But somebody in authority has thought it fit that this Saturday millions of football fans will have to forego their entertainment whether they wanted to "show respect" or not or couldn't care less.
