I gladly hold my hand up here, I was shocked to see OC taken on, this with a mind to his 'history'. And more so for our reputation of bearing grudges (supporter base wise!).
However, he is working hard, being positive and bringing in (on paper at least) a decent quota of players that should enhance our squad.
Question yet again is though; just to survive / hold middle ground, or fight for top six?
Well we won't know that until some way into the campaign when a ball has been kicked in anger.

Currently looking at what we have I think we are still a squad aiming for survival which I feel we will but any hopes of a top 6 finish are quite a distance away
probably 3 quality championship players away from a play off push
    first team left back
    Influential central midfielder
a forward to challenge Graham and stokes
if we can add the above to our current team I feel then we can push for a top 6 place

I'm a bit confused about the status of our playing-staff. Have any of those who are out of contract actually left? (Or is it all announced on July 1st only?)

1st of july i believe aucks but the ones out of contract have been told they are no longer required
this is pretty much across the league's so even though we are quiet at the moment I expect us to dip into the market again next week when released players become available.

Graham also signed for us before his contract expired
so my guess is on both accounts a agreement was made between both clubs
    pre contract if you like.
