I'm very fond of Mr Z, but his taste in music leaves a lot to be desired.

Villa, I have no interest in denigrating either the NHS in general or this hospital in particular. I simply reported my own experience. If you found it "world class" then I'm pleased for you. Kempo makes some very good points about the difficulties for laymen assessing medical treatments but as he points out on a whole range of measures we are way down from what the best achieve.

On reflection please ignore the above as it's ultimately pointless. There's a thread on Banter about local hospitals and it splits down the middle between brilliant and appalling. You pay your money and you take your chance.

I've no idea about the state of Zilzal's health, but the last post I saw from him reported problems in logging in, and also being timed out if he tried to write more than a couple of sentences on here, so (hopefully) his absence may only be due to technical difficulties

Kempo makes an excellent point about Zils mental health, for years he has shown unstable tendencies, ubiquitous rants and some questionable taste.

It's very difficult for non medical people to assess a medical service from the medical point of view because they usually don't know what the best treatments for a particular treatment are.

Just about every health survey comparing us with the rest of Europe show that we come bottom or very near when it comes to health outcomes.
A couple of questions, and a couple of quotes.

Firstly, who did the health survey? Was it non medical people, who don't have a clue since "It's very difficult for non medical people to assess a medical service from the medical point of view because they usually don't know what the best treatments for a particular treatment are." Or was it we stupid members of the public.

Secondly, read it again. "It's very difficult for non medical people to assess a medical service from the medical point of view because they usually don't know what the best treatments for a particular treatment are."

The best treatments for a particular treatment?

Thirdly...if I may edit your post-:

"It's very difficult for non football people to assess football from the football point of view because they usually don't know wtf they are talking about. But it never stops you."

RGS at seven years old. Priceless.

My conjuring powers are in fine fettle. I mention Geetar on a thread and next day he's back. Surprisingly he posts about Kempo and RGS.
