First thing to note is I am not and ever have been zilzal.

Second question to ask yourself is,if he is not dead then why is he not saying that he is alive and well?

Zilzal has shuffled off this mortal coil that's for sure.

To paraphrase Mark Twain, I personally think the reports of Zilzal's death are greatly exaggerated; however SugarTiler - who is currently unable to find a way to log in - has become sufficiently concerned to email me to mention that, if it's true, he is very saddened to learn this news.

He asked me to say the following:

"I didn't always agree with Zilzal, most particularly over our views on the tenure of the Purshouses, but he had an interesting taste in music which often coincided with mine & I enjoyed our tussles over his (supposed) East Dene heritage and shared memories of the late 1950s & 1960s Millers. Give my sympathy to his family & friends."

Jack is a good friend of mine from my RGS days( have I mentioned that I went to RGS?)......He knows that I am as honest as the day is long and Zilzal who as we know was a great horse racer with many top bets landed has gone to the racecourse in the sky...RIP

You're right but old habits die hard and ever since you suckered me with the three amigos drinking pink champagne at the Blades game I take your comments with a protective pinch of salt. I accept that Zilzal is dead but the cynic in me remains unconvinced about your grapevine allusion as no one else on here as heard anything. You could have killed off an alter ego which would equally explain his non-appearance. Sorry to be a doubting Thomas but you've been so inconsistent so often about details of your relationship with Zilzal that I remain wary. As to his being your "good friend" it isn't so long ago you posted you'd never met him and didn't even know how old he was. As I say confusing.

K, please don't take the above as a personal slight. You may well be telling the absolute truth. The problem is one of evidence. You value your anonimity on MM to the point where (so far as I know) no other poster on here knows who you are. As I have said before, there is a downside to anonimity which is that details about yourself which cannot be objectively verified will always remain open to doubt. Cam, Sota, Rich, Scum, Casper, Sugar, CT, Brin, Gino, Deano and many others on here are known individuals. You, Zilzal, Cheeks, Kerr and a few others are unknown and that is bound to lead to suspicions. I will continue to view you as an interesting and informative poster but as to how much of what you post is true I must remain an agnostic.

I was dead for billions of years before I was alive and I have no complaints,it wasn't too bad.

I know that I can seem a bit abrupt,detached even insensitive but zilzal has snuffed it and he was alive and he certainly wasn't me nor me him.

You have my solemn word on that.

It's possible I suppose that he could return at Easter but I won't be rolling back the stone as Geetar may appear from under it.

I am not in the best of moods as I have just bought Optibiotix and within an hour I am down 6 points if we include the spread so please don't trouble me again oon this issue unless you see this particular share rising

My dear friend, I am bereft that you should accuse me of troubling you on this or any issue. I foolishly thought your post wanted me to explain. Anyway, we won't mention it again. You are right about the billions of years of non-existence prior to our fleeting existence. I'm sure the state of being dead won't be at all bad but it's the getting there and all the weeping and wailing associated with it that is such a bummer. I would have preferred not to have bothered in the first place but wasn't given a choice.
Sorry about your Optibiotix - I'm a Weetabix man myself . I have no interest in stocks and shares and like gwru only bet on sure things.

I'd be devastated if Zilzal has died, despite having a few arguments with him. He was one of the very best posters on here.

Kempo, please explain.... If it REALLY WAS YOU all along, then congratulations, you fooled me. But please answer that. If it's not you and you actually have proof that he has died, then as the caring forum that we are, it would be nice to share that.

There are fallouts on here, but I'm sure 99% of forumers wouldn't wish death on anyone else on here.
