Trumps a businessman, albeit not terribly successful, its calculated that if he had invested his fathers "small" gift he would have been much richer than any money he has made through his business dealings!!

Who knows what he will do, reasonable isn't a word associted with Trump! Patently some of the stuff he said just isn't feasable, there won't be a wall going up along the border anytime soon. But as i said in a previous post the reality of being president will be frustrating for him, sure he unlike Obama has a congress with a majority which makes things a little easier, but he is used to people just doing what he says and of course politics and reality is not like that, I'm betting he won't make the full 4 years and will go down as the biggest disaster in the USA's history.

The likes of Trump, Farage, Putin and Le Pen all represent an extreme new form of politics, Ramspride. On Rememberance Sunday of all days it is sad to have to recognise that after all these years we may be witnessing an organised rise of neo-Fascism across Europe and America.
There is nothing 'reasonable' about Trump and what you are seeing is just, imo, a mask of practical realism slipping temporarily into place.
I fear it is the job of ordinary people - centre left thinking people like myself and Swale alongside decent folk who are slightly more to the right such as yourself - to recognise the emergence of this new 'Trojan horse' and to stand firm against a far from 'brave' new world of extremist politics which is already beginning to challenge the democracy which, for all its many and varied faults, our parents and grandparents fought for.

The rise of this new politics is good

But if you actually don't like it then you only need to blame the left wing liberals for its rise.. People got sick of being called "racist" and "fascist" or my personal fav "bigot".. sorry but it doesn't work any more, and they basically gurenteed their own downfall. they've let millions of illegal immigrants into these countries and anyone who spoke out got labelled "racist".. well its the right that's getting the power now and thank f***, we can wipe the clowns out well and truly.

am I a "racist" for saying all that??? lol

Its a bit quiet tonight and there's not the usual chorus of disapproval (me included usually) for a DCFCArmy post. So rather that the usual bashing I'm going to offer an anecdote from my 'good old gal' friend from North Carolina, overheard in a Skype conversation with Mrs Faber. Her husband and herself voted different ways last week after days of discussion and soul searching, and both with a very heavy heart. But one thing they now totally agree on, and that was that Clinton failed not because she didn't 'reach out' to people in middle America, but because her hyper-liberal, 'Don't forget to mention LGBT (my example)' mantra actively pissed millions off. My friend believes that it was Clinton who drove the 'silent majority' to find their voice, not Trump, and she believes that the genie is now well and truly out of the bottle, with 'normal' people no longer afraid to keep their frustrations/prejudices to themselves

Yeah, all those 'left wing liberals' who stood against rampant racism, against apartheid, against homophobia and 'queer bashing', against misogyny and wife beating...who stood up against bullying and brutality, against corporate greed and for a fairer and more egalitarian society...got to be all their fault.

Are you a 'racist'? I've no idea but you do come across as a bit if a 'dick' if you seriously believe the populist crap voiced by the likes of Trump and as one of those 'left wing liberals' - to you at least - I have to say I don't know anyone who's either allowed or approved of 'millions of illegal immigrants' coming into the country.

He claims the left has let in millions of illegal immigrants into this country, but the right is in power now. I don't think he realises that the right in this country are well into their second term. We aren't dealing with a bright one here guys.

Would that be the gutless tories?.. you need to remember that most of these gutless cowards daren't even try and take the media on, you'll find its the media that run the show, and with any luck we'll be f***** rid of them soon enough. No one's had the balls to do anything about it, because they raise a concern their sacked and lose their cushy pensions, people care about money, and to coin a joker phrase "all you care about is money, this society needs a better type of criminal".. when people care about money they don't care about the truth and the good.

And would that be the lefty t****** that dragging people from their cars and beating them up? or would that be the leftys that currently rampaging through America burning down local small businesses and houses?... yeah... those "lefty's"??

Clinton is a warmonger so glad she came up short.

I know Trump may have his faults but for those who like to demonize him here is a true story from a couple of years ago.

He was traveling through Tennesse when his car had a puncture, Trump's driver was having a problem getting the new wheel on so asked the owner of the house he was next to if he could lend a hand to which he replied. "Glad to". After the tyre was fixed the driver and Trump thanked him and they went on their way.

Two weeks later the householder received a call from his bank. To his amazement he was told that his morgage had been fully paid up
That is not the action of a mean man, he has already said he does not want a salary as President, unlike the grasping Clintons.

The media like to demonise people though. what a man says and what a man does are different things.. How many time have any of you said "phwoar wouldn't mind giving her one"... Just because you say it doesn't mean you go over and rape her does it ffs. a man will say some the stupidest things, but 99% of the time he's doing it to get attention ffs, he wont act them out.

Wonder how you know all about Trump's outburst of generosity then claw...couldn't be that you got it from the very same 'media' that you claim love to 'demonise' him could it? For every CNN there's a Fox News...and strangely, in the U.K...where for every Sun there's a Mirror, Corbyn makes the very same claim, although I do accept that there's a right wing dominance here and it is dangerous when one particular individual seeks to gain a monopoly over how our news and politics is reported.

As for 'leftys rampaging through America' DCFCA...you seem to be forgetting Farage's recent threats when the High Court judges had the audacity to insist that Brexit is done legally and that Gina Miller and her family have since been warned not to go out by the police.

Regarding Trump's comments...I actually don't think I've said 'phwoar wouldn't mind giving her one' since I left school and realised how absurd it sounded. Not denying that I have many lustful thoughts of course but life isn't some sort of second rate **** movie and imo there's something hugely distasteful and disrespectful about a man in his late fifties boasting that his celebrity status allowed him to 'grab women by the *****' although I appreciate you might just regard that as foreplay.
