Only ever heard of Torbett - who're the others? Or are you just making unsubstantiated accusations again? Unsubstantiated accusations merely hamper investigations into actual pedos. Stop making unsubstantiated accusations, and inform the authorities of your evidence. Otherwise you're effectively an enabler.

I think you might be 1 of the 6 posters on Wolph's ignore list.

    Heath, Bennell & Ormond.

My point to RMDU was that he'd stated that people at Crewe & Celtic were guilty of covering up the ***ual abuse, as far as I'm aware, no one has been found guilty of this yet.

I think in his anger at Celtic & what's gone on in his own family, he's not really thinking straight when typing his posts out. Not really the best way to have an open discussion on such an emotive topic.

I've just read that Chelsea apparently paid the abuse victim off last year, not in the 70s or 80s.

Have to agree with RMDU that they should throw the book at them.

    Two points.

    1. There was a full court case involving the abuse at Celtic Boys Club where all relevant details were brought out and testimony given, at no point was Celtic Football Club ever shown to be involved or responsible for anything. One of the Zombies on here moaned that I was using this point to distance Celtic from Celtic Boys Club, well am afraid its true, separate coaches, pitches, committees/boards, etc, make them separate entities, no Celtic official could take action against Torbet in any official capacity, and only unless they had documented evidence and witnesses to back it up their role then would be as a member of the public.

    2. The campaign against Jock Stein only started when well meaning Celtic fans put forward an idea that he should be knighted for what he did for Celtic. To target the only person who took action to remove Torbet from his position is sick, they know he has no right of reply, This has only ever been an attack on Jock Stein because he shamed the original Rangers FC on and off the pitch and highlighted what a bigoted club it was, they dont like it when "one of their own" points out their shame. And talking of shame.....shame on the SFA too for not reinstating the name of the East Stand/Terracing at Hampden, which was known as the Jock Stein Terracing until redevelopment took place.

Torbett was punished, there has also been stories and allegations about Frank Cairney and John Cullen, this would very probably mean there are more victims who didn't come forward at the time but may well do so now. There have been allegations that Chelsea are not the only club to have silenced the vitcims and their families and I would expect it all to come out in the investigations.

Clubs who have covered this up must be severely sanctioned.

    1. Torbett was punished after Fergus McCann pushed for it, up till then it had been covered up, Torbett was booted out of the club by Stein when he should have been handed over to the police. Your assertion that Torbett and the CBC had nothing to do with celtc is embarrassing. Torbett was brought back to the club after Stein left and after the people who ran the club knew what he was doing.

    2. Utter nonsense.

You claim celtc couldn't take action against Torbett, you mean like handing him over to the police?
    What about the others involved?

You have made many posts on this thread now and every one has been to protect your club and attack those who speak out against it, what the victims went through then and now means nothing to you, sadly you are as bad as the others who allowed these acts to happen and cover them up.
