Thread: Rip off football prices.

I'm afraid it will happen more and more especially with clubs who haven't had parachute payments or exceedingly rich benefactors and can only compete by raising revenue else where.

As good as this season is , it still aint worth 25 dumps , very disappointed with our clubs match day prices this season , thought we were better than that , thirty quid it was for the Newcastle game last month , disgraceful .

Yeh, keep on blaming everyone else, instead of condemning your own club (no, can't be, you're from Rotherham), like Animallittle3 has, whilever you and fans like you continue to defend it, it will only get worse, get your head out of the sand, take the blinkers off, get a grip.

I'm not trying to defend some ticket prices. I think £25 is ok but anything more than that is too much.
£28 - £40 is naughty as the song says.
But, Rotherham fans will pay that and have paid that in the past if we're doing well.
The demand for tickets isn't there at the moment but that is to do with the quality on the pitch and results rather than the cost.
On a more positive note hopefully there will be a few hundred more at Leeds after recent performances. They deserve it and so does One Paul Warne

They have to start capping it like they do in the premiership because its getting ridiculous now these prices and its only gonna get worse if nothing gets done about it. I think 25 pound should be maximum for this division. At 25 pound we would take around 2k to Leeds which would be around 50k pound made in ticket sales but at 37 pound we will prob take around 600 fans which would be less than 30k pound made in ticket sales so its not like they'll be making a few more bob anyways.

The Prem can cap wages because the gate money they receive is a small percentage of the overall income. There was a thread a couple of years back with a lot of details showing how little it was.

For Rotherham it pays the stadium rent.

Blackpool are charging us 15 quid for the cup tie at Bloomfield Road next month , we've shifted 3k already and we are notorious late ticket buyers at Barnsley , we struggled to get to 2.5k at wendy the other week and this is historically a game where we always sell out the top tier and much of the bottom , even when we are shyte .

I'd suggest out of the two games the wendy one is the most attractive and yet we will probably double our following for a game further away and against lower league opposition .

Let's face it. Blackpool is a shytehole but it's fun. S6 is just a shytehole and not much fun unless you get a result.

The going to S6 and putting one over them is wearing thin now. We've done it too often but at £15 a pop they'd fill Leprocy End hands down.

This round of the FAcup is still special. Maybe more special than the final these days for us normal club supporters. Oxford will be buzzing as well for their away trp to NYS. It means something no matter you play.

Well Yak you answered your own question, how can they get away with it? Well they will whilst there are those daft enough to pay it.

Yes it's hard not doing it but not going is the only answer.

There is a glimmer of hope though as the Wednesday attendance showed, plenty of Millers voted with their wallets and stayed away rather than filling the pockets of those at S6.

We need to do the same with Leeds and send a clear message " you can feck off"
