Transfermkt values him at his highest value of €1.70m but that valuation is nothing compared to what a club would slap on his price tag, to the work he has put in this season of 12 goals as well as the 5 assists and it will easily be around the £12m mark.

We shall see, maybe, when Burnley put next season's TV money on the table. Jeff Hendrick's value was £ 1,28 million when Burnley paid us £ 10 million for him!

Will be interesting to see who is closest - a "professional valuation" website or a kid who has listened to him play on the radio once!

My guess would be somewhere in between

I have seen and listen to him play on numerous occassions, like I said "I'm a huge admirer of his work" whoever tests Burnley's new contract reserve and see's what Burnley are offering on his price tag, is the question that is open for debate.

We offered as well as Aston Villa £5m for Bristol City's Aden Flint and on Transfermkt he is currently valued at £850k, so the site valuation doesn't give a rough valuation to what a club would want for their player and they value him at. The Transfermkt site just gives out what they think he is worth currently.

No serious approaches and managers dropping him and not rating him as he "not an all round player" ....

Are you going to admit I was right again!?!?!?

    Comedy Gold
No I was fishing and right on cue you took the bait and posted utter and complete lies again!

The COMEDY GOLD is you mixing me up with some other poster who may or may not have posted what you claim, for a fact I know it wasn't me who said that, I've asked you before to provide the proof and strangely you go silent and slink off.

Still one day we shall see, I'm guessing that Hughes is worth at least 10 times what you valued him at, so not sure why you think your so clever. As for his ability its there for all to see, he is still young suffered a serious injury and is currently on his third manager this season, yet has still played better than some of our 5 or 6 million pound players.

Angry is right. Will needs players around him who are on the same wavelength. A mate of mine (Forest fan)has seen him in the England U21's a few times and said he's different class. He's an intelligent footballer and there aren't too many of those in the championship. The step up will make him a better player, for Hughes to flourish I think his talent will be more evident based on the players he plays with rather than against. If he leaves who could blame him?

Completely 'get' what you and Angry are saying but I hope you're both wrong and that Hughes stays, with the right type of players around him, as part of a successful Derby County squad next season.
