Actually I dont understand why the comment is not racist either. I understand rA point that black and asian groups have been severely prejudiced against in the past but to rehash the phrase "two wrongs dont make a right".

Being a victim of a crime does not give you a free hand to commit a crime yourself with immunity from prosecution or criticism.

You would think that, as a victim of discrimination herself, she would be more self aware. She should surely understand that acting the same way towards others cannot be appropriate, notwithstanding "proportionality".

Swale expressed a view, I don't entirely agree with him but he has a point...which according to Ram59 means I do entirely agree with him but we'll let that pass.
I just find it both fascinating and disturbing that people give themselves away by jumping on the 'Abbot is a racist' bandwagon as if the wrongly chosen words of one black high profile politician somehow bring into question the whole question of racism within society.
It's a forum...don't you ever find yourself expressing support for people's views? I agree with a lot, not all, of what Swale writes, a fair amount of what you write and, as it happens, very little if what Tricky says.
