From memory. And it's not reliable these days. Think the season we got promoted from league 1 we were 250k in profit.
1st season in championship we were 160k in profit.
2nd championship season were 1.4 million in debt.
Gowd knows what last season will unveil. We had to pay Warnock and his backroom staff. Plus Stubbs and his signings. The blackstocks fiasco plus a lot of the top earners were still under contract... From what I have heard we got close too 900k from the ward sale which will help some of the burden..
Silly not sure where the 300k figure came from to pay up blackstock. But I can tell you it was a lot more. You would be a lot nearer if you doubled it.
TS is right. We will have one of the best budgets in league one but 80% is already allocated...

Back on thread subject. It would take more than a million to buy both these players. Godden I would take a chance with but at what price?. I'm not sure 600k would get him

I thought it was 6 months wages upfront with blackstock cayton so I assumed it was around 300k

From what I heard blackstock had 2 choices stay and earn half of what he did last year for 2 years or earn 6 months wages on full pay and find a new club. Unless my math is wrong which it often is that's 260k. I really can't see it being too wrong because it would make no sense to even get rid of him for double that since that's close to 2 years league 1 wages. Am I wrong?

I Donno if 600k would get him but I doubt we would come close to that 450k would be fair 500k would surely tempt them add a player on loan in mix I'm sure we would get him

I don't know the small details of his contract but if it's along the lines of the other players at the club. A 20% reduction for relegation was what I was told. Well, his words were along the lines of. the wage bill will be reduced by 20% if we are relegated to league 1.. maybe blackstock had a different contract .. who knows. When the agreement was negotiated he had 110 week left of his contract. My sums, even at half contract that's over 550k..

No but for some reason he's still 50-1 on being top goal scorer in league 1 on sky bet lol (I just put £2 on proctor at 100-1)

Tony Stewart has put £3m into the club over the past 3 seasons to keep the club on an even keel. In the accounts it comes through as 'sponsorship' and is the reason why our sponsorship figures are so high. The club doesn't have £4m in the bank and to suggest that is ludicrous. The club this season will have a budget and Warne will have to work within that. The amount of money we have received for Danny Ward is £720k and that money will be added to the budget for the season.
