Totally agree. A stadium shows ambition, whether full or not. A rebuilt Halfords along with the corners filled in would look super.
Most players like a big ground, Sunderland can't fill theirs yet still attract big names, and they don't go there to sample the delights of the North East.
    First impressions are lasting impressions.

The Valencia game was superb. Nothing as come close since. Maybe the Swansea play off, Wolves Play off or the Stoke game when we lost 2-1 in division 3 or whatever it's called. The Brummie was heaving that day.
As a side note the seats in the Smethwick are too close together. I cor get me legs in without scraping me shins. And I cor get no sleep in there.

I also hate the pre match "predictions" from 12 year old Chelsea and 9 year old Tyson who always think we're going to beat anybody 5-0 and that Rondon is going to score a hat trick.

Toe curling interviews and an announcer who has to f kin screech every announcement at the top of his voice.

I go to matches for the social side, chatting to mates etc....I'm not interested in all this modern entertainment bolloxx.
An advantage of arriving ten to fifteen minutes before kick off is avoidance of the above .
