    Good post Mellow.
    I wonder how much the clubs are losing playing to empty stadiums.

    The tourney was on its arse before the premier league came in. Blaming them is the easy option.
    Just check out the northern section attendance for the quarter/semi in the JPT last season. 9000k and 4400k for the semi.
    If they had kept the tourney the same format as originally would that have pleased more fans or is it the fact the big fish have now joined in the little fishes pool?

    You're trying to make out that's why they fetched Prem B teams in?

    They fetch them in to suit Prem clubs who are greedy with taking far too many youngsters just to throw them away when they think they are not going to be superstars.

    For any that are thinking of going;

    KO 7 pm
    Ben Bennett stand only open (family stand)

    Adults £10 (£12)
    Conc. £5 (£7)
    Juveniles (13-17) £1
    Juniors (U13's) £1

    No increase for youngsters on the night

    They say all publicity is good publicity but I reckon that Checkatrade aren't too happy with the response of the new format.

    The big Prem clubs coming in and taking the young talent from everywhere can be looked at as a problem but is this competition allowing managers of lower league clubs to see who's available on loan?

    I enjoyed the old system where it was the only chance for teams like ours to get to Wembley. I wonder how many teams haven't played there now?

    I'm gonna go ...a chance to see Mr Onariase for the first time and Ben Wiles ( I'm hoping this lad might be our version of Brookes at the blunts-he has looked very promising with the glimpses i have had of him)..
