Back to the speech yesterday, did anyone find it strange that she made a passionate defence of the free market then announced caps on energy bills because, erm, the free market isn't working?

God point, Driller. On a similar plane, she pledged herself to more council houses (call it affordable/social housing, whatever) without pointing out that it was the Tories' great champion, Thatcher, who authored this mess by selling off council stock. And people wonder why I question the virtues of capitalism.
In fact her speech yesterday pinched from Labour's canon left, right and centre - social injustice, racial prejudice (stop & search). Most of what she said chimed with me but after 7 years why are the Tories still lacking in these areas?
