This is like talking to a plank. Because I backed Notts to lose but wanted them to win, you accused me of sitting on the fence. That's where your comprehension skills fell short. There was no fence sitting, no ambiguity on my part, every last fibre of my body wanted Notts to win. Betting against your own team is a well-worn topic on here, it's been discussed many times and some people can understand the thought process behind it, some can't. You seem to be one of the latter.

Oh yes.....you got a free holiday out of it and bragged about it on here....Wow, risking the life of your wife and daughter......not exactly very smart IMO.
Risking our lives? Don't be such a drama queen. There's more chance of being killed in a terror attack in Europe than a Caribbean hurricane. I'll happily take the 'risk' on both again.

And people wonder why I question the virtues of capitalism.
In fact her speech yesterday pinched from Labour's canon left, right and centre - social injustice, racial prejudice (stop & search). Most of what she said chimed with me but after 7 years why are the Tories still lacking in these areas?
Maggie sold off Council Houses to people that wanted to buy their own homes ie the tenants.....people that never could have afforded their own house on the open market......what's wrong with that Sid....surely the people at the bottom needed a "leg up"?....I know several that bought their houses that way, and they're glad they had the opportunity

She lacked the foresight to replace the 'lost' stock with new build for the next generation. Her only concern was taking council stock out of public spending in her NeoCon obsessions

Surely that suits you, Sid, Bfp etc. the longer she stays the more chance Corbyn as of getting the top job. I would have thought the last thing you would want is a new Tory leader starting with a clean slate. Depending on who that person is of course.

If the people that bought their council houses hadn't bought them and we're still living there how would that change the housing shortage?
We have an housing shortage because the population is growing out of all proportion and both governments of Tory and Labour didn't invest enough in building new ones.

    1. People die. Have you noticed. How many houses around you have the same people in them that were there in 1990, 2000, 2010 even?
    2. People in council houses move 'up the ladder' and become owner occupiers in private housing.
    3. Although we're short of housing generally, it's in the first buyers /affordable homes category that there's a chronic shortage. Council housing offered a solution to this.
    4. Having state-owned rented property gives a FLEXIBILITY to housing property which we currently do not have.
