We have been living with austerity since 2010. Many people have lost already. You talk as if the economy was booming.

By the time the negotiations are finished, we’ll be in the Euro, our capital will be moved to Brussels and the national anthem will be Ode to Joy.

And we’ll have paid 50 billion quid to take back control.

Agreed, but that's what most people on here and certainly most of the Brexiters (I know you're an exception) voted for and will happily vote for again.

Am I in an echo chamber? I think I said as much, but let's face it there are educated guesses and wild guesses; guesses based on reason and reading, guesses based on sentiment and impulse.

If only. The reality is we’re going to be paying a shed load of money for a slightly worse situation and with none of the influence. Result.

Interesting that to avoid the break up of the UK Mrs May has agreed to no hard border in Ireland and full regulatory compliance between the whole of the UK and the EU, including customs union. So there goes the 'taking back control of our borders' argument. After the news that we'll be getting a 50bn pound bill instead of millions pumped into the NHS every week, it kind of makes you wonder what the point is.
You need to remember that this board seems to have decided upon the following rules:

Everyone who voted remain is a 'remoaner' who wants another referendum and cannot accept that they lost. They voted purely out of selfish reasons, they are ignorant and were swayed by 'Project Fear'.

Everyone who voted leave did it for the best of the country, not themselves. Every motive was pure and if remain had won, they would have accepted it totally, congratulating the other side. Every argument put forward by the leavers was 100% fact.

No-one votes for anything for themselves, because no one single vote ever counts for anything. You vote as a symbolic gesture and no more than that. Also, there were was nothing that united the Leavers except the desire to leave, they had different motives and come from different ends of the political spectrum.

Everyone can be happy now though, because Theresa May says we're leaving and has her piece of white paper to prove it. And yet we are obviously staying in every respect that matters.
