Wonder if any supporter enjoys being in their new purpose built stadium more than their old one. I’m guessing but bet you Man City fans preferred Maine Rd, Arsenal Highbury etc

Thing is with those teams you'll hear all the sentimentality about the old grounds from the fans, but around 20,000 of them couldn't get in to the old grounds compared to the new ones - so surely it's better now?

    We won't get that benefit.

Where is the funding going to come for this? Milne and his cronies wont pony up, which makes me think its pie in the sky. **** Milne wouldnt trust him as far as I could throw him! Far better staying at our eternal home and redeveloping it for a fraction of the cost of a new stadium even if that means cutting capacity to about 18500 with fierce sloping stands like say swinecastle.

Tynecastle rebuilt one stand for circa £14-15M. We would need to rebuild three stands.
I'm genuinely interested to hear how you could refurbish Pittodrie for a net lower cost than at Kinsgford.
Also to factor in the training ground requirement

Also factor in the loss of income of a reduced capacity Pittodrie during redevelopment.

Factor in that Tynecastle is probably the best ground in Scotland to watch a game & will continue to be their home & that 14m is worth every penny.

Did Hearts fans want their out of town ground when their mental chairman said Tynecastle couldn’t be redeveloped? Their ground must’ve been the most boxed in stadium in the country. Still remember folk flinging stuff out their windows over the away end. They still managed it.

Their Chairwoman was quoted recently saying they'd build training facilites next to Tinkcastle if they had space so I wouldn't rule out them moving in the future if they avoid going into Administration again.

Plus also we wouldn't have the £15M or so from selling Pittodrie.

I agree that Tynecastle is best stadium in Scotland and would love it to be our ground plus credit to Hearts fans for funding so much of it. Suspect or fans will be asked to do the same if new stadium is to happen.

Why didn't their hun loving support offer to fund their creditors before they went into Administration ?

Bunch of cheating b*stards. I wouldn't give those tinks any sort of credit at all, they didn't seem to kick up much of a fuss when they appointed a p@edophile manager either.

Looks like the scottish executive won't be calling the plans in. So, it's full steam ahead.

Fair point on Administration, although not sure if there was a legal way of paying the small local creditors without paying the big creditor that was Romanov himself (via his bank)

More importantly I see that the Scottish Government is not calling in the stadium decision. They have kicked it back to ACC just saying that they expect ACC to "have regard to the matters raised by Aberdeenshire Council". ACC have said that "we will accordingly consider these matters and liaise with colleagues at Aberdeenshire Council on these matters as necessary"

Not sure what this really means re footpath etc
