Lascelles will go if the money is anywhere near what ashley wants.

Keeping him to "build a team around him" as has been said, is never going to happen , mainly because the owner is well aware how much it costs to build a good team and has no intention of weighing over anywhere near that much cash.

Ashley is a chancer and if it hadnt been for 2 decent loans in Jan, we could well have been in the drop zone. He will be over the moon that one of our players is touted at upto £45m as it enables another couple of mediocre buys and a few more loans, and staying in the prem... job done,... premier money , advertising for no spend of his own cash .

You might be right, Ghost. But it wasn't long ago that we were competing with the Top 4 and playing Champions League.
I'm not saying it will happen again next season, but if we can convince key players to stay and have a few good seasons under a manager like Rafa Benitez, with the willingness to spend some bob we could get back into the mould. Maybe not forever, but for a while.

Money may rule football, but it's still possible for anything to happen in football, like Leicester winning the league out of nowhere (I know you think there's some conspiracy surrounding that).

Because in my opinion there is plenty of evidence. Circumstantial maybe but it seems to go way beyond coincidence as far as I'm concerned.

Well if he can’t speak English I think we need to take our hats off to alll of his defenders for learning Slovakian in such a short period of time as they also seem to understand the orders he is giving them on the field.

Dubravka can speak English well,he did in the three interviews I've seen him do anyway..
