Rafa's playing it safe. Too safe.
It appears like a strategy to stop teams in their tracks but it doesn't work for too long before the players get thoroughly cheesed off with the negativity.

Anyone knows a team will thrive on a balanced game, taking the game to the opposition as and when the opportunity arises, as well as the defending and midfield terrier roles as and when required.

We definitely have the squad to give it a real go to finish inside the top 10 but not the way we're set up.
I know we read about players saying they like Rafa's way or trust it or whatever, but I'm not buying into that. I think it's just waffle.

However, if people enjoy this stuff or accept it for whatever reasons given, then fair enough. As for me....I despise it and I'm 100% certain we can do much much better..
No one like defensive football but having a go against the top 4 teams normally results in a mauling look at Huddersfield’s result against City they pushed up and only had 23% possession

The football we played after NewTear was decent to watch so I’m hoping for some results against the teams that we can compete with on paper

Shelvey and Lejuene are a huge miss for us though

We have had atrocious owners before and got over it. It will be a challenge all but two of us will relish.

Ghost why don't you just answer what the original thread was about instead of page after page of waffle just to come to the conclusion that you are bored with Rafas style of play.We get it.Dont have to keep saying it.Every post gets side tracked and we get that there is nobody to take Ashleys place,if so who,Rafa is holding players back, too defensive.Blah Blah Phucking Blah.

Fair enough but don't you think it's a bit silly for us to go into a game to just sit back and be cannon fodder for most of the game?
I don't expect us to go gungho but I do expect us to be balanced and take every opportunity to hit back, as and when it's feasible.
The major issue seems to be in the training for counter attacking with little else to offer...and that guts me, because I know we have the players to do much more than just be face slapped with the wet fish for 90% of the game.

The football after new year was generally very good to watch amid a few minor slips into dire mode.
I'd take the second half of last season without a whine, because we gave even the big teams a bloody nose.

Ashley can go tomorrow as long as an owner comes in that has the clubs best interests and financial security at heart.
Until that happens we have Ashley and there's nothing anyone can do about it until someone comes in with the readies or Ashley simply walks away, leaving the club to the fans....and we all know that won't happen.

It doesn't mattewr what I think of him or you, or how much we differ. The scenario will not change regardless until one man decides.

You cut the Ashley stuff out on every turn and I'll cut the Rafa stuff out. How's that?

    Sadly i agree Hughie.

I would also take the relegation and loss of Rafa if it guaranteed the fat **** left.

Seems the Ashley apologists are as touchy as the man himself.

Nahhh but what's good for the Goose is also good for the Gander.
The only difference in all this too and fro business is mass opinion against minority.

I'm just asking you to do what you are asking me to do, only the names are different.
