He's a strange character to say the least but I like unpredictable sportsmen. You either get genius or meltdown . In Strickland case mostly meltdown but the man is a total one off. His antics are very controversial but he grew up making a living in American pool halls riding by the seat of his pants. That apprenticeship shaped his character into what he is. Because he's off the cuff and not straight laced people often ridicule him and have opinions about him. I understand why.

Give me Mac giving the officals pelters any day of the week Pass , loved the guy , Connors too getting in your face .

Bjorn Borg , great player but my ticket money would have gone on Mac v Connors if I'd had the choice .

What about the days of talent and 'etiquette' though, they used to be the most important thing. And yes I know, thats a naive view to have still these days.

Lets apply this to the reds eh, would we care if we won promotion despite being known as and looked at as a sh*ite dirty unprofessional lucky team etc. ?.

Good question. I reckon most of our younger fans would take results over performance or reputation. It might be a bit more mixed older tha gets

I've always played sport right on the line and to win , sometimes I went over that line I'll admit .

Local football , golf or a game of pool in the boozer , matters not to me , I want to win and if I can get an edge then I'm going to exploit it .

Black ball game and I might just say to my mate sour shot that my friend and just plant that little seed of doubt before he approaches the table .

It's just the way I am , it does work occasionally and that's all you need sometimes .

Why make it fecking easy for your opponent , nar not in this life .

    What about Serena Williams.
She was a disgrace in that final.
As soon as you call the umpire a thief they should have taken the match of her, not a game.
But then again she is a woman, a black one at that.
You can't touch her without being ***ist, or racist.
Not for me all this gamesmanship. Play up, play the game. Do your talking after you've won.
Same bracket as diving, and cheating in my book.
As soon as you run to the corner flag and stick your ar5e out, it should be a free kick against for ungentlemanly conduct
Never used to bother me when I played.
The more sh1t they dished out, the better I played.
