I have had the best craic in my lifetime in Dublin, then Cork and then the absolute best ever in Tralee. I love the good people of Ireland and wish our politicians would keep their noses out.

I stand by what I said however, a united Ireland is now inevitable and I sincerely hope that whenever it comes it brings peace and harmony to all of the country's citizens.

Seldom, I was born in Rossendale but my Mum hailed from LEESON Street in Dublin (her name was Mary LEASON - not a spelling mistake!)

My Dads family also came from Eire.

I love to visit Ireland, my favorite bit is the west coast. I find Dublin a bit too busy with hen/stag do's for my taste.

BT - Tralee is great. We went to the Rose of Tralee festival a few years ago. We went to the races, and I have never seen as many Roman Catholic priests in one place!

Just an aside .. Anybody who likes crime books should read the Katy McGuire detective books (10 of them) which are based in and around Cork.. The author is Graham Masterton who is a great crime and horror writer.. I can thoroughly recommend them all..

"One reason why most of the worlf hates the English. Opinionated, self righteous, arrogant. The only thing hated more than an Englishman.. Is an American. Life is better over here than the UK."

Seems like you got lucky 59/60. Then again Jimmy Mac didn't seem to have any problem with us opinionated, self-righteous, arrogant Englishmen and chose to live out his life over here, amongst us in Burnley. I wonder why ?
