Seems the well known reasons for the Nairn bankers murder were to do with his dealings with Livingston FC. The link being that the victim worked for the specialist lending department of the BOS in Edinburgh at the time. Lending to any football clubs are always dealt with by these departments of the various banks. The Bank Of Scotland forced Livi in to administration 9 months before the murder.
