I don't care where he's been before. Bracewell and Venison are two of my favourite past players and I applauded David Kelly when he came on for them. Nor will his past be used when it inevitably goes tits up. Nobody should pretend he's anything other than the cheapest and most desperate option designed to keep us in the Prem and nothing else.

And, looking at his record and our squad?....that's unlikely to happen.
