That’s some opinion Pardew finished 5th which put us at 75% better than other teams. Benitez top finish was 10th making us 50% better than other teams

Really unsure where you’re getting the 80% from as on season form that would make us finish in our highest position since Ashley took control.

80% On par means equal to 16 teams in the league. Simple formula 20 teams at 100% equals to 5% per team so 16 x 5% is equal to 80% not better than them but equal to them

Therefore that means only 4 teams are better than us in your opinion of course.

Yep, 4 teams better than us and the rest we can quite easily teet for tat with, in my opinion, this season.
4 teams where the mindset can be seeing defeat but the rest of the bunch hold no fear of that for me and can be definitely competed against without having to go backs to the wall for most of the game.

I have enough optimism that we'll be having a right go this season, because I don't believe Bruce will do a Rafa and hand teams the points before a ball is kicked.

But we'll see how it all pans out. I made my prediction of 9th or better. Let's see and also let's see how we fare against the best of the rest from the money bag elites.
