Exactly so. Either they are intransigent and totally unwilling to negotiate or our whole negotiating strategy was hopelessly inept highlighted by our failure to put No Deal on the table at any time. Had we have done so we would have left in March with a Deal.
You missed the part where he said 'they need us more than we need them'. If that was the case, surely they would have come running to us bending over backwards?

No deal is on the table right now. I can't see that helping with negotiations, can you? So I don't see just how that threat would have helped us before March. The EU know how much of a disaster No Deal will be for us, they're in a great negotiating position. Again, this is all perpetuated by the lies of prominent Leave campaigners.

In fact, the EU have said that in the event of a No Deal, there will be no future negotiation until we pay the £39bn that we owe and given their ability to be credible in these negotiations, then that is probably the case. So if we leave without a deal, we can't negotiate a new deal until we pay the £39bn, that we actually owe.

Bearing in mind, we are already spending £6bn on 'mitigating the effects' of a No Deal and we have no idea how many billions we would likely lose out on before or after a No Deal. Its not looking very good for us in my book.
