Yes but that was down to injuries and he clearly didn't trust Watson at centre back after East Fife and Sporle at left back after a could dodgy showings defensively at left back so could see why he went the way he did in a couple of those games, didn't work off course

He obviously wanted Butcher back in midfield today and since Robson has been back then no more swapping a full back to the opposite side, Brown being out and our weak midfield showing v Thistle has made him try Watson again today and it's paid off

I've said for months that Butcher and Harkes are one of our most important partnerships in the team, our win% with them together is very high

9 wins from 12 and 27pts is very good at this stage

Hearts when they romped it had 10 wins from 12 to start with

But it was obvious after Alloa that we should never ever play Smith LB and Watson RB yet he done it again???

Anyways, our other points RE: Butcher and Harkes, totally agree the best and heard Harkes was very good today and yes, 9 wins from 12 is very good, just need to keep it going with Friday night

One thing in our favour is not drawing games,we could have won 7,drawn 5 and been unbeaten but we would only have accrued 26 points.

Definitely, would rather have the extra point than be unbeaten, it's been a trend since the January window shut that we rarely draw now

Agree, we shouldn't have gone with that again, but hey ho, I doubt anyone would have ever expected that shyt show regardless, one of those days imo, not like we have been pumped away from home like that in any other aways game under RN

Seriously though, great result. Wasnt there today but the messages i was getting at half time were from pretty similar minded chaps as myself saying we should have been 4-0 up by then. Messages after the game saying we were tremendous.

Amazing what happens when we put players in their right positions though eh i wonder how negative trying to fit Pawlett into the team really is eh...

P.S good to see Connolly back!

P.P.S heard Watson was outstanding at CB
Must admit I thought we'd struggle. That's a great result at a very tough venue.

Yeah, we haven't conceded a goal since Robson's comeback and Smith has moved back to RB. Not a coincidence.

Fantastic result. That is massive. And a great team performance too by all accounts.
Agree about shoehorning unfit PP into the side.
Well done Robbie and the lads. Sounds like there were a lot of great individual performances too.
If we can go over and get the three points Friday night we are well on the way.
