Surely you knew this already so why ask that question?

As you know I have Wolfie blocked on my account but just saw his post via your answer above Toptoon.

He's implying that us wrinklies have seen many bad times but he refers to Ashley's reign as "a walk in the park" compared to what he's witnessed in the past.

Well I may be wrong but I believe I'm probably the oldest poster on here, remembering the club during the war and just after when the serious game began in 1946.

I've seen a few owners from the McKeags, Westwoods and Seymours and a lot of bad times, especially the two decades yo-yoing between the old 1st Div to the 2nd. but there was always hope and positivity, there was always belief that every one at the club from the owner down to the tea lady wanted success and the best.

I've seen some poor teams. I've seen us almost relegated to the third tier but I have never witnessed any senior executive at the club who didn't care and only wanted to milk every penny out of the club to further benefit a tat industry akin to barrowboy standards.

Now I have what I have never had since I went to my first game after the war and that is a numbness and total despair.

I've looked forward to coming back up to Northumberland on holiday and perhaps to return to live there but I couldn't in all honesty and sincerity visit St. James' Park with a clear conscience while that evil, shameless, dishonest slug is at the helm.

Good post. His logic is backward. Its like those that have to use food banks should be grateful they are not starving.Thats his view on the running of our club.Although it's the richest league in the world,we are in the top 20 richest clubs in the world,we get 52000 fans nearly every week,we should be grateful we are not Bury.

No I didn't know what you meant.
The no hope is in your own head, it doesn't mean its in everybody's head.
We hit top 5 under him so why not again?

There's always hope and it's hope that keeps things running.

    Indeed good post .

As I stated to wolfieghostbororider.. We are unique in having an owner who has no ambition whatsoever. He's a tapeworm feeding off Newcastle ... A truly odious human being.
