It was but technically the 09/10 season was at least partly IN the last decade so I think we can allow it to sneak in
The friendly/s in pre season gave a hint as to what was to come but that game truely let people know we had some fantastic players and set out our stall for the season.
Fullarton's last game was very memorable, there's never been an atmosphere like that before at Meadow Lane and I doubt (and hope) there never is again, fans coming over with banners from the Kop and just laying into him and the team from right behind the dugout, I can't even remember the team we played or the result as it didn't really even matter, I don't remember even paying attention to the game from the moment they appeared in the main stand
Forest away in the cup was brilliant but so devastating that Hughes of all people missed the chance to win it with his penalty, if you could pick one player Forest fans would have hated to score the winner it would have been him.
Fulham away with 4,000 Notts fans was a great day too, the score didn't matter and everyone supported the team regardless.
Darlington away when we clinched the title with almost as many Notts fans in the ground as Darlington on a cold Tuesday night, didn't stop singing for pretty much the entire second half.
Getting battered away at Rotherham was a good laugh with us cheering winning a corner like we'd scored amongst other chants basically taking the piss out of ourselves.
