Imagine being a Everton fan stuck in the same division for 100 years. 50% of the fans were not even born the last time they won owt.
The problem is when we both aren't so competitive in League One something I feel is heading our way next season .

Then the shyte does hit the fan .

We've been there mate. In fact we reached a point not so long ago where we weren't really that competitive in League Two.
If there was a division in between L1 and the championship I think we'd both hold our own.

If (and it’s a big if) we go up then initially that would be great, but really with our fan base and infrastructure it would quickly turn to disappointment.

But who knows, we could become a permanent feature in the Championship

Not only is it £22 million it's also a 4 and a half year deal.

    That’s quite a commitment

Had to smile at the coverage on tonight’s BBC Look North news, who say it’s an undisclosed fee, whilst the BBC website says it’s £22 million.

    Great journalism
