You a Radio Three man BT ? There are some pretentious tw@ts on there and no mistake, but they're employed by the Beeb, so it goes without saying.

No sinkov, I'm unashamedly trapped in a time warp filled with Northern Soul, Motown, Chess, Atlantic classics and jazz. I love the sounds of black female vocalists, I have quite literally thousands of tunes to listen to. Just playing Ann Nesby belting out, "I'm Here For You".

Each to their own, you enjoy your Classics on a very subdued Easter Sunday?

I love all music BT, but oddly those genres you list above are amongst my least favouriite, except for the black female vocalists, especially those employed by Pink Floyd, the girls on their many live concert videos are just as much highlights for me as Dave Gilmour's guitar solos. Which leads me to ask, have you seen '20 feet from Stardom', a classic documentary about the exploitation of black girl backing singers, even though it's been alleged that Darleen Love is a bit economical with the truth in it. I expect you have seen it, but if not it's well worth looking up, it must still be available somewhere.
