    We know you too well

I only started listening to classical stuff seriously when I was in my late 30's.

I was lucky enough to spend my formative years in the 60's and 70's and the music was incredible.

My favorites were Pink Floyd, The Who, Wishbone Ash etc etc. But I also loved all the popular stuff, Motown, Glam Rock etc etc.
The music was completely different than the stuff that was around before. It was exciting, creative and made a great soundtrack to my life.
My Uni days revolved round music, ale and footy.

    Happy days!
Similar tastes 59, I saw The Who at Nelson Imp in the 60s, Wishbone Ash at King George's Hall Blackburn in the early 70s and Floyd twice, at Earls Court and Maine Rd. Manchester while it was still there. Wishbone Ash are regulars now at the Grand in Clitheroe, I saw them only a few months back, only Andy Powell survives but they're still bloody good, I've seen the remnants of many bands and tribute bands from the 60s and 70s and I'd say Ash are the best I've seen.

You a Radio Three man BT ? There are some pretentious tw@ts on there and no mistake, but they're employed by the Beeb, so it goes without saying.

No sinkov, I'm unashamedly trapped in a time warp filled with Northern Soul, Motown, Chess, Atlantic classics and jazz. I love the sounds of black female vocalists, I have quite literally thousands of tunes to listen to. Just playing Ann Nesby belting out, "I'm Here For You".

Each to their own, you enjoy your Classics on a very subdued Easter Sunday?

I love all music BT, but oddly those genres you list above are amongst my least favouriite, except for the black female vocalists, especially those employed by Pink Floyd, the girls on their many live concert videos are just as much highlights for me as Dave Gilmour's guitar solos. Which leads me to ask, have you seen '20 feet from Stardom', a classic documentary about the exploitation of black girl backing singers, even though it's been alleged that Darleen Love is a bit economical with the truth in it. I expect you have seen it, but if not it's well worth looking up, it must still be available somewhere.

No complaints about that --at least it wasn't anything by Einaudi, although I'll bet that there were a few in there!
They are boring, sort of technical exercises that I used to play as a 10 year old when I was a budding pianist. Strangely, lots of people really do like the boring repetition ---I'll bet that these are the same people complaining about being bored because they have to stay in!!
    Get a bloody life!

As real as Covoid-19, however, you don't think that that exists so I suppose that nothing is real.
Realistically, that is true because life is only a game and the rules keep changing depending on the whim of who is actually running the show.
Just don't worry ---you have no say --it is outside your control! Stay safe, be happy an enjoy the job when you get back to work BT. Look out for the tax though because they will have to get money back somehow and it won't be from the billions that Amazon are raking in!

I don't believe it, where is the Great Gate of Kiev from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition ? If that's not top 3 it's been rigged. Can you demand a recount ?
