It’s clear that Barrow’s wheel was falling off.
    (Someone had to say it!)

I can only think of the all ways we might get a shot at going up 'this season'
Yeah it's a tough league no doubt to get out of, I just think if we'd have had a real pre season we'd have been in Barrows spot when the virus hit because I do genuinely think we have the squad to win the league by a clear margin, they started to click last few months and surely that can only improve with more playing time together.

    Fingers crossed anyway mate COYP.

Reading between the lines of the NL press releases/interviews and taking into account the Fylde fiasco, I get the impression that we are not liked, I can see the NL and its' officials making it extra difficult for us if we remain a hostage to this league.

Maybe it’s the cabin fever, but it looks like a bit of paranoia is setting in.

The handling of the Fylde re-scheduling was appalling, as has been the way they've dealt with this crisis. I've no confidence in the NL whatsoever to do the right thing. I think we've rubbed them up the wrong way because our owners have shown themselves to be far more professional and astute than they are.

utm is right, having us in their tinpot league gives credence to the NL. My belief is they'll do their best to keep us in it.

BT viewing figures for live games will go down if we left, can't imagibe too many tuning in to watch Stevenage. They lost Luton recently after a lengthy spell, they won't want to lose Notts as well.

Whilst there are now mostly professional clubs at this level, it still has the aura of an amateur organisation, probably best represented by the standard of refereeing.

Just checked the BT tv contract details, it runs out next year so a new deal will have to be struck during the course of next season (probably spring). They definitely will not want to lose Notts, they will be in a much weaker position to re-negotiate without a big hitter. That's not being big headed, we ARE the Real Madrid at this level, as Luton were, as Bristol Rovers and Tranmere were.
With Chesterfield and Wrexham struggling, without Notts the NL is just not going to hold the same attraction. Not that it's a great attraction now, but it will be even less so if we go up.
