I couldn’t really ( and this will probably Make you say “Well you should”) work up a sweat about who rules me. I’m a sheep. I don’t believe that whoever gets in are in it for anyone other than themselves. I do vote. As I think at the time. I am a floater ( I give you that one for free Exile). I feel relatively good about my life, I believe the state looks after the vulnerable.... ( and the shirkers and scroungers probably too well).

Kier himself said yesterday (or Sunday) “ it’s not how we do things here”.
In China the removal of statues, burning books etc occurred in the early 60s, taking away “history” in the cultural revolution. The freedom of the people then became less open, not more as they thought it would , and even today it’s not an open society, nor safe to speak out (look what “allegedly” happened to the Covid Whistleblowers).
I would rather be naive, and have the freedom we have, and not go down the revolutionary path, which hasn’t really resulted in freedom for the Russian and Chinese people.
I know your a bloke who finds the political system a huge turn off and I think Pass does too to a certain extent and I also think up and down this country people are too and for very good reason .

To be honest with you so do I these days , I'm never going to vote Tory and I didn't vote at all
last December , I've resigned from the Labour Party twice and didn't vote for them in 2005 either .

I'm 60-40 on the new leader at the moment , that could get higher as he goes on and its early but I already know which direction of travel he's going and is why I didn't vote Labour in 2005 .

So you have to ask yourself in reality what is the fecking point ?

Why do we even need to have political parties at all ? .

Take the fecking lot of em out of it , they've all had a good bat of the ball and all fecked up .

What's wrong with having local government and less Westminster .

Why can't Yorkshire run it's own affairs , why not have an authority with no political affiliation , made up of people from business , nurses , police and other emergency services , ordinary citizens , skilled , un skilled , small business owners in other words a true representation of the people all dealing with local issues .

Why not test the water with a county and see if there's any legs in it for 5 years , the same term as a parliament gets .

Sounds pie in the sky but why should it be ?

Perhaps it's governments that are the problem and not the solution they all claim to be .
