You only have to read the stuff on here. There's a faction who simply wallow in the past. Their kids have most probably been brought up in these households and they have never stood a chance. Nothing to do with opportunities available.

Give me the boy of 7 and I will give you the man.

State education provides a base to make something from your life. The class system stifles and makes it harder but what happens due to lifestyle choices and contempt for the current system damages opportunities more.

Completely sick of reading the tripe on here to be honest. It's clear some people don't have the tools in life and can't provide for themselves. Unfortunately a growing proportion are hiding behind the people that genuinely need help. Looking for freebies. Confidence trickster types talking tripe.

Like yourself, We'll donate to causes when and if we want to. We pay our taxes, we don't cheat anyone out of a penny. I think what these people forget, we've come from the same background as they have. We've worked hard to get away from them.

It's only a few of them but by heck, are they bitter and twisted.

I can stomach the 2 or 3 posters who have patently worked hard and have different views but this bunch of idiot non achievers who label everyone else right wing Nazi sympathisers, need to give their kids and grandchildren a chance by crawling under a stone for next 10 years or better still forever.

    No respect for anything.
For someone that continually moans about other people moaning you do a great line in moaning yourself 😉😊

Of course it's easy to scoff at that sort of thing now. It's terribly unfashionable in a time where staying on trend means ignoring our long history of liberal democracy (albeit blemished like every human history) and wringing our hands at past failings instead.

I know you had to bugger off quickly after posting this tripe but I supplied you with the following to enable you to give some reasoned response

over 40% of the returning soldiers were not even entitled to vote, some country some belief

After the Third Reform Act in 1884, 60% of male householders over the age of 21 had the vote.[9] This left 40% who did not - including the poorest in society. Thus millions of soldiers returning from World War I would still not have been entitled to vote in the long overdue general election. (The last election had been in December 1910. An election had been scheduled for 1916, but was postponed to a time after the war

Care to pick up where you left off?.

Moaning about people that moan a lot but could do better for themselves if they redirected their energies and stopped moaning at everything.

I like to moan even though I don't have much to moan about. I do moan about parasites that somehow think they deserve a lot more and think they'll get it if they keep moaning. Stop moaning and get on with it.

They get on my tit's. Some of them wouldn't know poverty or hardship if it smacked them in the mouth and the one's who have it hard seem to love blaming anything and everything else. THEY ARE TO BLAME.

How's the furloughing going? Has it helped or did you decide you didn't need it?

listening to you Exile and Roly, you want five subsidised fishing rods each (with the right to moan about them not being the right length, width etc) and 13 social workers each trying to catch, cook and spoon feed you the fish.

And yet the last two Tory PM's have acknowledged there's a problem .

Whether that plays out and converts to actually doing something about it remains to be seen , slogans are just that aren't they ? ..... simply slogans .

Just because there isn't the same type of poverty that existed in Victorian times or the 1930's doesn't mean it doesn't exist , it's called relative poverty .

You've seen since 1979 a huge transformation of wealth to the richest and wage deflation for the less well off .

That's a fact by the way and not an opinion .

The same opportunities to buy a home that I enjoyed in the 80's doesn't exist now for younger people .

You can work your tyts off and you still won't be able to afford your own home .

That's not lack of aspiration that's the door bolted and shut firmly until your parents die .

Your creating a situation here where your kids are going to be worse off than we are , that's never happened before in modern times .

You completely fail to see that lack of opportunity is the bigger issue and simply go down the lazy or wanting something for nowt route .

    It isn't necessarily so .

But your own party acknowledges there's a problem ..... do you disagree with them ? .

Don't do the straw GM by the way it doesn't work with me .

We took it. I suppose the question was whether we could have survived without it. Which in turn depended on how long the shut down would last. Without knowing the answer, we took the view to cover ourselves and take whatever was going when it became available.

We didnt want it to eat all our cash reserves and leave cash flow tight we restarted (liquidity - which gm had such difficulty getting his head round - lol).

The next big issue for many will be liquidity and productivity (if we're required to implement covid protocal and social distancing). Some sectors will get hammered. I was going to ask whether this will effect you (Ive got a mate running an engineering company with on site maintenance contracts and its killing them - he sees it like a slow drain of cash).

I am in the BAME category if that’s what label is been put on it.
I’ve worked hard to get where I am. I have had racism and I’ve risen above it. I’ve got a portfolio of properties and I’ve been successful because of hard work. All this black people are treated unfairly in this country imo is not true. We are one of the most civilised country’s in the world. There is good and bad in every race and when did it become wrong to be wealthy?

There is a real danger that the message is been lost and all the so called fighting for equality is looking to me from the outside it’s not about equality but special treatment. Take black pound day what a ridiculous notion that is.
    That’s racist imo.
I’ve fought for this country I’m British and proud of it and grateful that I live in a country that has allowed me to prosper and be successful.
All these so called sympathisers arguing on BAME behalf with very little knowledge is not helping.
Racism is a two way streak and is wrong whoever it’s against.
I’m British and successful and proud of it.
Well done to People like Howdy and Sota.
Enjoy your rewards for hard work.
If you work hard you will be rewarded is what I tell my kids.
