For me its McClaren. His profile and the media attention it would bring (in a good way) would make people stand up and take notice of us and how ambitious we are as a club. This can be a chance for him to rebuild his reputation that doesn't quite get taken seriously in England.

MM- Not managed in a while so im not as keen however i do think the credentials he has are worthy of being considered clearly but i do wonder if the baggage of previous misdemeanours will put MO/TA off appointing him.

TW- At the start i wanted him as i felt he ticked all the boxes we needed but i would imagine the only way we would have Wright as manager now is if the other two cant agree terms or aren't interested enough.

I do agree with previous posts. I do want us to try and get this sorted as quickly as possible. Time is ticking on and before we know it, it will be August and games will (hopefully) be restarting. The sooner we can get our man in the sooner we can give them the best possible chance to prepare their team for the season.

I'm just really glad the bookies names have levelled out a bit. Sitting there a few days back with McCulloch, Barton and f'n Ross Tokely high on the list. Horrific.

Now 3 clear favourites in Wright, McClaren and Mackay (even though Wright hasnt been interviewed for the job) and I feel like from a football perspective we are solid with all 3 of them. Even further down the list now we have Micky Mellon, Austin MacPhee and Daly which, again, we know have all been considered/mentioned. All of these are more appealing than some of the sh1te thats been on that list in the last week. Still think MacPhee or Daly would have more chance of the no.2 role with the club though.

Yeah, the main thing is we get it done quickly.

Im not seeing the attraction of McLaren TBH. Looks as though I'm in a minority here. But I dont rate him and never have.

    I think he'd be awful.

Dont rate him as a manager in the English leagues? Hate to say it, but the levels of the English Championship are miles ahead of the Scottish Prem. Celtic and Rangers wouldnt win the English Championship. I hate to say that, but they wouldnt. He would be a great appointment I'm sure.

You mean Levein? He's not even been spoken to about the job.

I think GB’s on about Austin McPhee who for some bizarre reason has been interviewed.

Neilson failed, McInnes failed, Lennon failed, Levein failed, Ross most recently failed in League One ffs, yet here we are, knocking someone whose made a career out of doing what no other Scottish manager has been able to do.

A former England national team, Eredivisie winning, Uefa Cup runner up, English Premiership manager and some guys don't want him. Wowzers.
    This one.
