I admit I made the assessment that this incident alone will not be solely responsible, which is technically an assessment. But come on. Are you seriously suggesting you think there is a chance that this incident alone is responsible for the spike?

I full accept it will likely be a contributing factor, but that's not what this is about.

If I had claimed that the allaged Blackburn funeral clearly (to use John's word) caused a spike then you might have a point, but I didn't, which is why you don't. I appreciate that won't stop your sealioning.
Much as I love to take part in the odd spot of sealioning, my point is more to do with how GF and Gristy could both make direct allegations that the funeral was responsible for the spike, with no evidence, yet you immediately pick up on the fact that John asserted that out wasn't to do with the funeral, without evidence. Why do you pick up on one, but not the others?

Maybe they are on his blocked list and can't see the others. Just a guess

I asked if it was a coincidence, is that a "direct allegation"?

    It's a question.

And a possibility, if the Imam has it then he could have passed it on to worshippers who take it back to relatively small, high occupancy, houses which may have been enough to push the Covid numbers, which were already high compared to other places, above the Leicester numbers, if indeed that is the case (we'll find out tomorrow).

I knew you'd hide behind that Fire. You've made your mind up and you know it,or was the most rhetorical of questions. Gristy, as usual was more honest in response:"No".

Direct allegation. No evidence. No challenge from Kerr. No change.

Professor Dominic Harrison, Blackburn with Darwen Council's director of public health, warned last week the area had two weeks to get the numbers down before lockdown measures are reversed.

The Lancashire town brought in extra restrictions last Tuesday and said the borough of 148,000 people was facing a "rising tide" of cases.

He said data showed household "clusters" of infections, suggesting one person was infecting others in the same household and this was mainly affecting the south Asian population.

ITV already saying Blackburn has the highest infection rate.

What I would say is that if a Christian funeral can only have 30 mourners then a Muslim funeral should only be able to have 30 mourners too. What's Islamophobic about asking for equal treatment from the government, police and local authorities?

Completely agree that Christian and Muslim funerals and gatherings should have the same limits. And there's no doubt that the area has a high infection rate. This may or may not involve the living arrangements of South East Asian families. My issue was simply the assertion that a funeral was responsible for the hike without evidence and Kerr requiring evidence from certain posters for views held, but not others. That's all.

The major problem though is that ignoring the obvious isn't helping the fight against covid 19
