Don't know if it's reflective of the virus outbreak alone or in conjunction with the recent civil unrest but having never had a month with 60 mass shootings, August looks like being the 4th consecutive month in the US with 60+ mass shootings. Just think about that. I doubt if the UK even has 60 shootings in a month let alone 60 mass shootings involving >4 victims (not including the shooter).

My eyes were opened to the problem when a lad who worked for me and was ex-military and a member of the NRA, saw his Best Man killed by police officers in a hail of bullets simply because he ran from them. I explained that it wouldn't happen in the UK because police didn't carry weapons as there wasn't a gun culture. Even after seeing his best friend (unarmed) killed he couldn't see the logic in not having the right to bear arms

I see Oldham is on the verge of lockdown with an infection rate of 83/100,000. Some counties here in Washington State have infection rates close to 500/100,000

83 is very low.....how many of the 83 are really genuine corona infections?

Remember we are taking infections here not deaths.



Meanwhile mental health issues spiral, the economy is crashing, drug and alcohol abuse is on the rise and thousands of people have missed lifesaving cancer treatment and other lifesaving hospital treatment.



The lockdown is the real killer.
