What? So you've never heard of the word 'inbarassed'? Seriously? Next you'll be saying it's 'source' and not 'sauce', and there's no such thing as rocket surgery!

You misunderstand. It wasn't me who was slow, it was the four in front. Waiting in queues is one of my pet hates, and spending half the round watching some old fart take six practice swings before slicing into the rough became too much to tolerate.

It's been a really good year for veg, the warm spring meant I've had a non-stop supply of spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions and beans for a while now. It will be weighing time for the proper onions in two or three weeks, loads of big ones but I'm not sure I'll hit the 3lb target. I do have something which I tried growing for the first time however that I think will be well worth a pic when I harvest it.

Edit: Booooo! I see the inbarassed thing was being explained to you as I typed!

A few weeks ago on one of my rambles, I walked through a field of corn, or maize, as the colonials call it. The farmer had left a bear(!) strip to walk through but here and there a few stalks of corn had sprouted on the path. Being of a curious nature and knowing they would not be harvested I picked a dozen and took them home and planted them. They are now four feet tall, do you think they will produce "cobs" as we horticulturists call them?

Well that explains that one, no never noticed it before. Whereas Sauce over source is far more common.

Although that doesn't explain the ignoring of loose instead of lose. Or there instead of their. Those must be almost criminal in your and the fellow spelling police. I wonder why you let that one slide so often? But get annoyed about Osborne being spelt incorrectly. The lack of consistency is all over the place.

Thinking about it thank god everyone just uses Enzio on here, would be complete carnage if we all attempted his surname without looking it up first. Your head would literally explode. Don't sweat it

Get one to produce cheese cobs, that would be a thing !
Anyway, we're surrounded by the stuff here BUT it is grown for animal feed. So very starchy and not sweet at all. We've often been tempted to nick a cob over the years and have never managed to eat it as it's horrible. Hope yours are better.

Running, sorry walking through the farmers fields of barley, sorry maize, is that the naughtiest thing you've ever done?
