Even on a football forum, saying "it could of been" rather than "it could have been" makes no sense at all. Let things like that go uncorrected and next you'll be having people repeatedly putting 'lol' at the end of their posts when they've said nothing remotely funny.

I tried golf, quite enjoyed the whacking the ball into a hole bit but couldn't cope with the waiting around. Taking four hours to do something that should take two was the thing that put me off. Fishing? I find that about as appealing as American line dancing, which is probably the least appealing and most pointless hobby I've ever seen. I'll stick with racket sports and vegetable growing thank you.
Ahhh so you looking to preserve the English language. Interesting. Sadly I fear you are fighting a losing battle, since the exponential growth of social media platforms, and in particular texting. But good luck with that.

If you are going to get annoyed by spelling and grammatical errors on a football message board then we need you to up your game and show more consistency in your role as part of the site's Grammar and Spelling police.

The word loose continually is used in place of lose when describing a defeat. I've noted this one doesn't annoy you, or you fail to pick up on it.

The other day someone spelt the word embarrassed , beginning with 'imb', again not a word. You can use your advanced search thingy to find out who

Again nothing from you. Looks like you are very selective when attempting to preserve the English language. That doesn't surprise me from one of NCM's chief 'cherry pickers'.

Hopefully you will get better and provide a more comprehensive service to the site. Will keep an eye out to see if you start to spot the loose Vs lose beauty, because that makes no sense at all right?

Just so you know, when you get better at golf , you don't take as many shots and you don't spend time looking for your ball in the heavy rough. So the game speeds up considerably.

Good luck with the veg.
