Plus, by Vardy's own admission, he didnt really take fitness too seriously. He drank too much and was over weight (by pro footballer standards, not man in the street standards). I saw an interview with vardy where he said that the penny finally dropped, he stopped drinking, changed what he ate and his pace and all round game absolutely rocketed. The rest is history.

Thought Blackman was awful. Flapped at everything that came his way, looked scared to death and didn't seem pumped up or ready for the penalties like their keeper did. Hoping this is a one off and he's got it out of his system.
As for Ifollow as usual my biggest complaint is that the cameramen don't know how to film a football match. They don't need to zoom into the ball so closely. Pan out like Sky, BBC or BT so we can actually see what what's going on and they don't lose sight of the ball everytime it's kicked.
Rants over.
Utm
I didn't mind I follow coverage, describe it as adequate. At least you got play-backs something you didn't get two seasons ago on sky on the red button.
We would have been at Everton again so am pleased
Alexander said Salford deserved to win.I don't know who he is trying to kid but and they DID win. After seeing that penalty several times I really think the forward charged into Blackman and then went down and persuaded the ref to give the penalty.Blackman never appealed which was surprising. What we need to do is to be positive and go out to win on Saturday when we will have more players to choose from.
I didn't see the game, just the highlights on Quest and as I said in a previous post Icky always seems to be at the scene of the crime when we concede. The defence will be crucial for our survival this season IMHO
That's right gf and wasn't Robins the manager at the time ? And i'm another that thinks we desperately need to sign Barlaser quickly and preferably permanently. Blades fan tells me Blackman was very ordinary for them and annoyingly went for the spectacular save all the time. We shall see.
"Steels said that 12 months ago an offer from Rotherham United was rejected by both the club and the player as they were only prepared to give him a three months contract."

Which would be May/ June 2009 when Robins was manager, so you are correct.
Robins/ Stewart dropped the ball on that one.
