I think that deep down we all know that we are going nowhere under this management team.
I suspect a lot of people would consider doubting Ardley to be the same as doubting the owners and those who regard them as saviours in biblical terms will find that difficult.

The season may not start yet and probably a good chance of null & void once Covid deaths rise in the next few months.
I wouldn’t get rid now. These are his signings and this is his team. The interesting thing is that a club from a higher league wanted his assistant but not him. Has that ever happened before? We replaced Cox with a bloke who helped us get us relegated the last time he was here.

I think he’s got the season with these owners.

Little positive to say today, beyond more match fitness. Can't remember a chance for Notts, much less a shot on target. York were miles better and could have scored more.

We looked lightweight, disjointed and lacking in attacking options. Our midfield created very little and our strikers collectively held up very little. Everything we did going forward was in front of York, with no pace, width or quick use of the ball to get in behind them.

There need to be major improvements in a short time frame otherwise it's going to be a long first month of the season.

I fear you could be right. I heard a rumour that allegedly Ardley and his contacts had a large role in bringing the Danes here in the first place...

I don’t doubt the owners, but they’re going to face bigger decisions this season if we want to go up. Last season was a free hit for Ardley given the shambles the Reedtzes inherited, but if we don’t hit the ground running in the opening weeks, I’d expect them to act.

Biggest concern is that we seem to have taken a step backward with the new signings, not forward. We do need to give Sam and Rodrigues time to adapt, but how are they going to do that? Sam is fourth choice from what I've seen, Rodrigues a luxury player - or maybe he should play up top alongside Wootton. Didn’t we sign him as a striker? Sloth is the great unknown so far, but seems like another gamble given his recent track record.

Quite taken aback by Leigh Curtis's headline, I'd have expected "below par" or "poor" from him, but he's gone with "Dreadful". This is really looking quite serious now.
