I fully understand what you are saying Jackal. That scenario does rely on going on a formidable run to make up for falling behind everyone else so early on in the season.

It was quite some achievement for Barrow to have only 3 defeats in 28 games. Hence they deserved automatic promotion.

Could we achieve similar if we have an indifferent start? Who knows?

Last season we had a squad cobbled together. So a slow start was justified and understandable. This season nine of the eleven that were at the club last season started the game against Dover. When you’ve got the majority of a team who have played together for a year you should be able to hit the ground running.

That is what was disappointing yesterday. At least a point dropped if not three already on day one.

Let’s hope we get some more positive results in the next two games at home and before too long we are up there with the pace setters.

We were heading for relegation all that season from start to end. It was a complete disaster from the first game to the last. Blame Hardy

    No lado blame Ardley,
i believe we were out of the bottom 2 when he arrived, so relegation was no means certain at that point, after winning one of his first 12 matches, and cutting us 8 points a drift by january it looked like we were heading for relegation

When he took charge of his first league game Notts we’re 23rd and remained in the bottom two for the rest of the season.

The simple truth is...that we can give this inept manager until November, by when we will be amongst the battle for survival. or act now, before it is too late....

very true, Ardley failed to keep Notts in the league, defeats at Macclesfield and throwing away a 3-1 lead at Colchester were indeed lethal results...

You wasting your time mate , they would probably defend Ardley if we were relegated again , especially if the Danes put the club up for sale haha

Who do the Ardley out brigade think would be a suitable replacement?
