EFL has a wage cap. This gives an injection of cash and a more equal distribution of TV revenue going forward. Clubs cant simply blow the extra cash on higher wage demands to chase the dream. There is still promotion / relegation.

The League Cup goes. How much revenue is actually lost? This way most will get a guarateed payment rather than just the few who make it to later rounds.

Im not really seeing how it will disadvantage clubs like us. Maybe Im missing something.

Having only 1 cup will be crap for all us lower tier teams especially the fans! If the Prem Teams don't want it then go back to it's original name of League Cup and put a English int front of it (EFL Cup).

Get the prem clubs out of the lower league cup as well. In Fact tell the Prem to piss off! The matches are shyte anyway on the whole and the top clubs are only interested in Europe!

No Charity Sheild either because the bigger clubs can make more money playing abroad. It's a show case match and the opener of the season and.

The Prem teams and the bigger Championship clubs have far too many players! They're paid far too much and use the 'short career' bolllacks as a way to justify it.

His words of, 'coupled with it being a very different environment inside the EFL, when compared to the one I left in 2015/16'. Says it all really, the EFL is in total disarray and a bloody shambles. He's bolting before it all blows up and kicks off. Something big will come from this and he's not hanging around to fall on his sword.

Bosses from EFL's 72 clubs held divisional meetings this afternoon & 5 of them have just been talking to a few journos. The headline? I misjudged Project Big Picture's popularity in EFL when I said 2/3 would like it. Sounds like 9/10 of them LOVE IT! Total support for Parry, too.

Sorry, doing several things at once! Peter Ridsdale (PNE) & Tony Stewart (Rotherham) from Ch'ship, Jez Moxey (Burton) & Paul Scally (Gills) from L1, & Nigel Travis (Os) from L2. They'd all been in divisional meetings. No votes but near unanimity in L1/L2, strong support Ch'ship

One thing that struck me was the mention of Tony Stewart in that list alongside Peter Risdale probably the worst profiled chairman of all time when it comes to throwing money away and seeing a club suffer i.e. Leeds United.

There was also one of Tony's statement that didn't make sense in the transfer window but led us to beleive that we had some player links with Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Was he involved in the putting together of this big plan? Rotherham United are a model club when it comes to finances so it could be one that the'd want to base all football clubs on.

Whether you agree with the big six breakaway in a all clubs are equal but some or more equal than others and use the finacial situation as a way of bribing the other clubs to fall into line behind you or like me strongly against this group of six totally domineering football from now on the way Barcelona and Real Madrid do the Spanish league this deal is great short term but terrible long term.

The abolition of parachute payments, increase in PL tv money to the EFL, immediate cash injection, etc, etc.

I also have no issue with doing away with the Charity/Community Shield. I'd tweak the League Cup proposal to make it a cup just for EFL clubs. Perhaps do away with the FL Trophy instead? Reducing the PL to 18 teams? Meh, so what, never likely to affect RUFC.

The issue is of course the additional power being given to the Big 6. That cant be allowed. If it is then I absolutely guarantee that B Teams will eventually be introduced into the EFL and that would be a nightmare.

It's a starting point for negotiations.... let the talking commence.

But it doesn't seem like there's going to be any negotiation Grumpy. It seems that they're set to accept this deal which can be revisited by the top six later on. In effect they could come beack and take more in the future when things get a bit tight for them.

They want a maximum of 15 players (but no more than 5 at 1 club) out on loan from any club which means that ther can have other teams paying for their players development. The only option is for them to buy a club through the back door and make it a feeder club.

These aren't football people doing this it's big business men in sport, venture capitalists and the likes. They don't give a shyte about the supporters who will be unable to afford a season ticket to watch their club.

Yes there’s positives but if they vote on this as it is then imo they’re just being led by the money sign which could come back and bite them big time.

The six want to stream their own matches on their own service so will be apart from Sky and the other big broadcasters so their revenue should go up but would you buy into anything where you don't have access into the top 30% of the product at the same price as they have up until now?

That grab will see a reduction of TV revenue for the rest of the clubs over time and that has to be a concern for all of the other clubs long term.
