But how do you or they know they/ you are perfectly healthy, you /they are infectious before you/they get the symptoms.
The real point of face coverings is to protect others from you, trapping some of your cough or sneeze or shout, to fully protect yourself you need much better quality products and to cover your eyes too. I have seen some of those in gas mask type coverings with cartridge filters. Surgical type Masks and glasses will cut down the viral load you receive and that should give you a milder infection unless you are vulnerable.
It helps you if others are wearing a face covering when they cough or sneeze. If there’s no one around you obviously don’t need a mask.
